VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
CAT CUDDLERS
Cats and kittens need lots of attention to help them adjust to temporarily living in a shelter. When volunteers hold them, pet them, play with them and talk with them, it helps the cats put their best "paw" forward, and it helps potential adopters see their individual purr-sonalities.
DOG BUDDIES
Even with all the activity in our shelter, dogs can get bored. They need friends to talk with and to take them for walks. In addition, some dogs need help with their manners, and volunteers can help teach them basic commands.
NOTE: For safety reasons CAT CUDDLERS and DOG BUDDIES must be at least 18 years old. Volunteers are required to work at least two 1-hour shift per month in order to remain active, and we ask that you commit to volunteering a minimum of 3 months. Comfort with animal handling is essential to be a successful Dog Buddy and Cat Cuddler.
OFFICE HELPERS
Behind the scenes of the shelter are volunteers helping staff manage the information and paperwork needed to support our programs and services. Help answer phones, file, do reference checks, assist in adoption applications, create flyers and various other tasks.
EVENTS ASSISTANTS
