China and Tucker
Would love to see them on your site as adopted and loving life! They have both fit in very well and are quite spoiled and loving life. They are my co-trainers…I am training for a half marathon in July. They keep pace. So far in the past two weeks, they have booked 40 miles with me.

Roosevelt
Roosevelt is doing great! Thanks for asking!
There is not a day that goes by in which we are not thankful for Roosie coming into our lives! He is the kindest, most gentle, happy dog we’ve ever known. He & Rex (also former Adopt-a-Dog resident, then named Tyson) are very attached to each other now. It seems that if one is outside & the other in, they will stand at the door that divides them until they’re reunited again. It’s very cute.
I have attached pictures of Roosevelt w/each of our children. The first one was taken nearly a year ago, when our younger son was only a little over a year old & Roosie was trying to ‘shake’ with him. Frazer found the experience very ticklish. The second picture is of our older son taking a nap w/Roosie on the sofa in our kitchen. Both boys love him very much, as do we. The third picture is of the doggies together on Christmas morning.
We are still unearthing all the wonderful tricks Roosie knows. He apparently has quite a vocabulary which includes, but is not limited to, “Bang!” & “Roll over.” Of course, he knows all the basic commands & performs them well.
Thank you for everything you did to help this wonderful dog find his way to our home & our family!
Sincerely,
Elizabeth

Merlin
My husband Marc and I adopted Merlin last September from Adotp A Dog in Armonk, NY. When we adopted him, Merlin was on medication for separation anxiety and was underweight. We are happy to report that Merlin is now off of his medication and is doing great weighing in at a whopping 57lbs. The entire neighborhood loves him and he has the best time when we take him out on the trails. Merlin has been a great addition to our family and we cannot imagine life without him.
Best regards,
Amanda and Marc Kandel

Mikey
Hi Guys- My daughter helped me take a giant leap in technology by teaching me to send pictures through e-mail. We did our best to get Mike to pose. I hope you enjoy them. He is doing really well. The family loves him, especially me.He is very partial to me, which makes me feel very loved! He spends his days being pet, sleeping and peeing (outside of course).
The groaning continues when we dare to wake him up to make him do his business-it's very funny. His newest thing is sleeping on his back with his legs stuck up in the air - obviously has no shame! I'll keep checking for local events so you can see him in person.
Have a great new year!
Patty

Bosco
Bosco's name is now Oliver and he is without a doubt the most fantastic, beautiful, perfect dog who ever lived! Our lonesome terrier is now totally back to normal, sharing a bowl and a bed with his new best friend and putting up with Oliver's morning cleaning routine of his ears, eyes, etc. They play and run all day on four acres enclosed by an electric fence which Oliver respected immediately. He also has yet to have an accident. He also loves leaping into our station wagon to visit with anyone.
A gentler, kinder animal has never existed. He knows how to heel, lie down, sit, etc. etc. from his first owner. We did a bit of tracking on his past from the chip he has and discovered that yes, he is a purebred flat-coated retriever and he came from California before he was discovered roaming the streets of Upper Park Avenue. He has also learned to run like a gazelle. At first, he never stretched out his legs. He also failed his initial swimming test and splashed above the water really badly with hind feet staying down.
Now when we walk to a neighboring lake, he leaps in to chase a few ducks and swims about joyfully. We do have to call several times to get him to come out. He is, after all, a retriever. A thousand thanks to Adopt-A-Dog.
We can't wait to bring him to Puttin' on the Dog!
