Bambi is a 3 Month Old Spayed Female Hound Mix puppy who came from a shelter in South Carolina. Bambi has a congenital defect, causing her to be stiff in her hips and when walking.

BELLA

Bella is an 8 year old spayed female Toy Fox Terrier recently rescued from a Midwest puppy mill. Because of her puppy mill life, Bella is extremely shy and frightened. She has never experienced the comforts of home. Bella would benefit from an adult home with an outgoing small dog.

BLACKIE

Blacie is an 18 month old neutered male retriever mix. He is friendly and would do best as the only dog in the home.

Caleb is a 7 1/2 year old Shepherd Mix who has been with us for 2 years.   He needs an experienced adult home due to his overprotective nature.

Candy is a 6 1/2 year old Shepherd Mix who has been with us for over 3 years. She has been in the shelter system since 2004. Candy is an affectionate, loving dog that just wants to be the center of attention. She will need an experienced adult only home. Candy loves running and playing, and chewing on stuffed squeaky toys.

CLYDE

Clyde is an 8 Year Old Neutered Male Mastiff Mix who has been with us since December of 2007.  He is going to need an owner that is experienced in handling large breed dogs and behavioral issues. Clyde’s unsure of strangers – once he knows you, he’s a big baby.He gets along with some other dogs and does not like cats. Clyde’s a sweetheart, and has been waiting a long time for the right home to come along.

ED

Ed is a 10 Month Old Neutered Male Pit Bull Terrier Mix.  He's very affectionate and playful. Ed needs someone with the time and patience to work with him on his basic manners.

Eleanor is a female beagle we recently rescued from an animal research facility.

GEORGIA

Georgia is a female beagle we recently rescued from an animal research facility.

HAMLET

Hamlet is a recently surrendered 5 year old, 6 pound neutered male Papillon. He has some aggressive tendencies that we believe can be worked through with consistent training. We recommend an adult only, no other dog home for Hamlet.

INDY

Indy is a male beagle we recently rescued from an animal research facility.

LOUISA

Louisa is a female beagle we recently rescued from an animal research facility.

MISSY

Missy is a 3 1/2 Year Old Spayed Female Shepherd / Mountain Dog Mix.  She gets along with other dogs, but is shy upon initially meeting people. Missy would benefit from being in a multiple dog household.

Nico is a 15 Month Old Neutered Male Husky Mix weighing in around 100 pounds.  A very smart boy, Nico would need a home who is knowledgable with the Husky Breed and we recommend a fenced in yard. 

NOELLE

Noelle is our 8 Year Old Labrador / Aussie Mix.  She will be with us four years this October.  Noelle has resource guarding issues which would require an adult only home. Otherwise she is a friendly dog who enjoys long walks and a game of fetch.

PAC

Pac is a 6 Year Old Neutered Male Labrador Retriever. He’s the type of dog that warms up to you after awhile. He’s a beautiful yellow lab, with all lab tendencies – he’s got a lot of energy, and lives to chase tennis balls. Pac would do best in an adult only home, with someone who has experience in handling a large, powerful dog. Pac also has food allergies and is on a special diet.

PENNY

Penny is a 7 Month Old Spayed Female Labrador Retriever we recently rescued from a midwestern puppy mill. She is unsure of herself and we are recommending a family with children over 10.

RILEY

Riley is a 4 and a half year old Neutered Male Pit Bull Mix. Riley's a great dog - he walks well on a leash, and enjoys playing with stuffed toys. He would do well in an adult only home, as the only pet - he loves to have all the attention.

ROSEE

Rosee is a 2 Year Old spayed female Pit Bull Mix.  A sweet girl, she enjoys going for walks and is very playful.  Rosee gets along with some dogs, and is unsure of cats.

RUDY

Rudy is a 5 Year Old Neutered Male Shepherd Mix who came to us as a result of behavior issues he was having in his former home. Rudy needs an experienced adult-only home. Once Rudy gets to know you, he’s loving, affectionate and playful.

Star is a female beagle we recently rescued from an animal research facility.

TYKE

Tyke is a 6 yr old Neutered Male Pit Bull Terrier. Tyke loves playing with basketballs and getting belly rubs. He’s unsure of other dogs, does not like cats, but loves all the people he meets.

QUINCY

Quincy is a male beagle we recently rescued from an animal research facility.

BUDDY

Buddy was rescued from the Richmond, Virginia area. He is eager to please, and has a lot of energy. He was rescued as a youngster from a bad home and airlifted by Volunteer Pilots to the Westchester, NY area so he could have a chance to be adopted by a good family. This sweet boy will get the love he deserves from an experienced dog owner who enjoys the outdoors. He is good with other dogs, loves people and wants to bond with his forever buddy so he can live the life he so deserves.
