JETER

Jeter is a gorgeous Treeing Walker Coonhound. He is very young, no older than 2 years old, and an absolute love. He would do great in a home with children, and potentially another dog. He has previously lived with another dog and is currently in foster care with a dog, but he is very fearful of new dogs, so bringing him into a home with another dog would be a process, but definitely possible. He is very well behaved, and is potty trained and crate trained, but above all else he is loyal. He loves to stare at the people he loves with adoring eyes, and would make a wonderful addition to any home. He has plenty of energy though so a home with a fenced in yard is preferred. EINSTEIN

Einstein is a 6 year old male lab mix that is very happy, energetic, loving and a committed family dog. He has been the most wonderful and smart (thus named Einstein) part of our family for nearly 6 years.  Now he needs to find a loving home where he can have a nice soft (doggie) bed to sleep in, house to guard and owners to please with his multiple tricks he can do (like stand on his hind paws, roll over and follow all voice and hand commands known to dogs.   He loves loves loves his ears rubbed and loves to chew “big dog” rubber toys and raw-hide bones.  He is very loving and always knows what mood we are in and will kiss you and lick you non-stop if he thinks you’re hurt or upset.  He has a very manageable personality where he can run with you all day in the sun and at the same time spend a whole day just lounging around his dog bed, guarding the front door.

He has spent most of his life indoors and has not been socialized in many dog-parks, so should not be out on his own with other dogs, but great when on a leash.  Likes to chase squirrels in the yard if given a chance. LADY

Lady is a spayed, 2yr old Pure bred Akita who will be an owner surrender.   Her family now anticipates to move early November. Lady is bonded to the husband, but he is never around, working a lot of double shifts.   Family now has a 5 month old child and is in the kitchen getting no walks, attention or discipline when at work. Lady does okay on lead and responds to correction. Lady would do well with an knowledgeable Akita owner and has recently spent time in a boarding kennel.

ENZO

Enzo is a 3 year old male rednose pitbull. He is an amazing dog and has been the love of my life for the past 3 years. Unfortunately he doesn't get along with other dogs and his aggression towards my moms dogs has gotten worse and worse. My mom no longer feels safe having him live at her house. As hard as it is to give him away, its what's best for him. What I want for Enzo is a loving home where he'll get a lot of love and attention (he loves attention). He also needs to be the only pet in the house (unless its a bird,hamster - anything that's caged he'll do fine with) But as for other dogs or cats, he wont do good. Enzo needs to be the center of attention. He also needs a home where he'll get a lot of exercise Not only do pit bulls need exercise for their hips, he use to be very over weight. I have gotten him down but he could lose a few more pounds. He loves to be outdoors, doesn't fetch as most dogs would. He would rather have a squeaky toy all to himself. But he does enjoy walks everyday. For the potential adopter of Enzo, all I ask is that he is loved as much as I love him. He is great with people. Loves anyone and everyone as long as they love him. His ONLY downfall is that he doesn't like other animals.

JADE

Jade is a 3 year old Lab mix with a very sweet personality. She is very affectionate, playful and loves to be with her people. She is housetrained and will sleep at your feet if you let her! She would prefer a quiet home with a yard that is fenced and lots of tennis balls over loud or overly active households. She would be good with another large dog and would probably be fine with a confident cat but shouldn’t mix with small dogs, they get her too excited. She would probably be happier in a quiet, mature home with no children. She is protective and so she will let you know when there are visitors. She might even try to scare them off, but she settles after she sees that you are ok. She knows all her obedience commands and loves to take walks that include a dip in the water. But, if you want some quiet time yourself, she is happy to lie down and chew on a bone. Our situation has changed and now calls for a lot of travel and activities which she is just not comfortable with, so she can no longer travel with us. If you are looking for a loyal, sweet, funny and loveable dog to enjoy your time with, please consider Jade. We will ask for a small fee to cover plenty of items we will provide with her. I am a wonderful 2 yr old spayed female GSD in excellent health. My ears never quite stood up properly, so I look a little soft and goofy, but don't let that fool you! I am an EXTREMELY high energy dog-which is wonderful for the right person, but I need a LOT of activity to keep me happy...and you happy with me. I am a very good girl that is crate trained and knows all my basic commands and I'm quite a character, but I am not a dog for a first-timer. I am tremendously sweet and loving, but please don't ask me to share my home with small animals of any kind...I am not mean, but I am much stronger and more exuberant than I realize. For the same reason, I should also not live with young children. Please have a fully fenced yard (or be prepared to fence it before I come) and the time, energy and desire to devote/commit to a mutually rewarding lifelong relationship. Call or text 203.832.4544
