Are you looking for a dog with affection, love, joy and happiness who loves to cuddle? Oakley is the dog for you! Oakley is a two and a half year old pitbull who is the sweetest dog I have ever met. He simply loves people. Anyone visitors who come to the front door are greeted with love and licks. Anyone who he meets on the street during a walk is an instant friend. There is nothing more Oakley loves to do than curl up on the couch next to you and watch TV or a movie with his head in your lap. He’s very calm and laid back in the house and non-destructive. In fact, he’s never chewed on anything other than the bones and toys I give him. He bonds quickly and closely to his owners and is the most loving and affectionate dog I have ever seen. He just loves being close to his owners and laying close to them. He is always happy and his tail never stops wagging. He is just a joy to be around.

He does enjoy playing fetch any time he can. He loves it so much you’d think he was part retriever. He also walks well on a leash and knows quite a few tricks. He’s really food motivated so he is pretty easy to train with treats. He’s on the smaller side for a pitbull, with his weight hovering between 45-50 pounds depending on how many treats he gets for the month. As he is still young, he does enjoy a couple of walks a day to keep trim.

We’d love to place Oakley with a single person or a couple. While he does love children, his enthusiasm may be too much for small kids so we’d prefer if any children of families interested in adopting him be over 12 yrs old. Because Oakley loves people so much, he’d rather stay in a household with only people and no other pets. He loves being the center of your attention and doesn’t get along as well with other dogs.

It breaks our heart that we have to give him up. My wife and I are expecting our first child and we simply won’t be able to care for him and the baby at the same time. If it wasn’t for the upcoming baby we would never give him up.
